What we collect and why

Enquiries. When you send an enquiry we collect your name, email address, phone number (if you give it) and your message. We use these only to reply to you and to quote for and carry out your project. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.

Your enquiry is stored in our website database and emailed to our sales inbox. We do not use it for marketing, and we never sell or share it with third parties for their own purposes.

Phone and email. If you call or email us directly, we keep the details you give us for the same purposes.

Website analytics. Only if you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited and how people find us. This tells us about visits in aggregate (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type); we do not use it to identify you. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Server logs. Like any website, our hosting provider records technical information about requests (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to keep the site secure and working. These logs are kept for a short period and are not used to identify visitors.

Who processes your information for us

We use a small number of trusted providers who handle personal information on our behalf, under contracts that require them to protect it:

  • Krystal Hosting (UK) — hosts this website and sends the enquiry notification email.
  • Supabase — provides the database where enquiries are stored.
  • Google — Google Analytics (only with your consent), and Google Fonts, which supplies the typefaces on this site. When your browser loads the fonts, Google receives your IP address; it sets no cookies.
  • Featurable — displays our Google reviews. Your browser requests the reviews from Featurable's servers, which receive your IP address; no cookies are set.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for up to two years from your last contact with us, then delete them. If you become a customer, we keep the records we need for the job, guarantees and our legal and accounting obligations (normally six years after the work is completed).

Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months.

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
